Oil filter: 2006–2011 Civic (all engines)
Every 2006–2011 Civic uses the same Honda oil filter: the 1.8L, the 2.0L Si, the GX and the Hybrid. Honda's catalog lists 15400-PLM-A02 for all of them; it replaced the older 15400-RTA-003.

- Fits
- 1.8L, 2.0L Si, GX and Hybrid, all body styles
How the job goes
- Warm the engine briefly, then park on level ground and shut it off.
- Remove the drain plug and let the oil drain fully.
- Remove the old filter and make sure its rubber gasket came off with it.
- Wipe a film of new oil on the new filter's gasket and spin it on hand-tight plus about 3/4 turn.
- Reinstall the drain plug with a new washer, refill with the oil grade and amount in your owner's manual, and check for leaks.
Before you order
- Check your owner's manual for the correct oil grade and capacity; they differ between the 1.8L, the Si, and the Hybrid.
- A double gasket (old one stuck to the engine) will leak badly. Always check.
