Before you order
- Hybrids have a high-voltage system. Have a no-start diagnosed before replacing the starter.
- Confirm torque specs and access steps in a service manual for your car; some trims need the intake or air box moved for room.
- Rebuilt starters usually carry a core charge. Return the old one to get it back.
- A weak battery or corroded cable can look like a bad starter. Have the battery and cables tested first.
