How the job goes

1. Warm the engine briefly, park on level ground, and shut it off.
2. Drain the oil, then remove the old filter. Make sure its gasket came off with it.
3. Oil the new filter's gasket and spin it on hand-tight plus about 3/4 turn.
4. Reinstall the drain plug with a new washer, refill with the grade and amount in your owner's manual, and check for leaks.
