How the job goes
- Warm the engine briefly, park on level ground, and shut it off.
- Drain the oil, then remove the old filter. Make sure its gasket came off with it.
- Oil the new filter's gasket and spin it on hand-tight plus about 3/4 turn.
- Reinstall the drain plug with a new washer, refill with the grade and amount in your owner's manual, and check for leaks.
